Founded in 1989 by Dr. Rick Williams, Tanque Verde Pediatrics is now a seven physician practice that sees patients in every pediatric age group, from birth to age 22. We see same day sick visits. We address the acute as well as chronic medical and behavioral problems of our patients. We attend to our own patients in area hospitals. And of course, we see our well children for their check-ups, sports physicals or any other needs.

Dr. Decker was born and raised in Tucson's Tanque Verde Valley. She earned an undergrad degree with honors in neuroscience from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation she moved back home to graduate at the top of her class from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Before joining Tanque Verde Pediatrics she completed a 3 year residency in Pediatrics at the University of Arizona. While there she took an interest in community health and advocacy.
During her residency Dr. Decker became involved in the American Academy of Pediatrics and is currently an active national member and on the committee for continuing medical education for our the Arizona state chapter.
When she is not in the office she enjoys traveling or spending time with her family.
Dr. Herron was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and her medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin, she moved to Tucson for her pediatric training at the University of Arizona.
Prior to joining Tanque Verde Pediatrics in 2008, Dr. Herron practiced general pediatrics for 8 years, both in Chicago and back in Tucson. She has worked as both an outpatient pediatrician and as a pediatric hospitalist with the University of Arizona. She is still involved with resident education at the U of A.
Dr. Herron is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well a certified physician with the American Board of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include newborn care, adolescent medicine and hematology.
Dr. Herron and her husband, Steven, have three daughters, Maya, Sarah and Tess. Her personal interests include running, reading and spending time with her family watching the Packers.
Dr. Moher was born on the East Coast but was raised in Tucson, Arizona. She obtained her undergraduate degree as well as her medical degree from the University of Arizona. She went on to a 3 year residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland before moving back to Tucson to settle into a career.
Dr. Moher joined Tanque Verde Pediatrics in 2016. Prior to this, she worked primarily in the outpatient setting, but also as a pediatric hospitalist, both at the University of Arizona. She remains part of the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, and is able to continue with the education of medical students and residents at Tanque Verde Peds.
She is board certified in General Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is an active board member at Tu Nidito.
Her husband Christian is a family physician, and they have a son (Liam) and a daughter (Eliza). As a family, they are diehard fans of Wildcat basketball, and they love to travel together. Her personal interests include reading, hiking, and yoga.
Dr. Montgomery was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University. She then attended the University of Wisconsin Medical School.
In 1992 Dr. Montgomery came to Tucson to complete a pediatric residency program at the University of Arizona. She had been practicing pediatrics in Tucson since 1995.
Dr. Montgomery joined Tanque Verde Pediatrics in August 1998. She is board certified in pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her community activities include serving on the advisory board of Reach Out and Read Southern Arizona, and the Board of Directors of Literacy Connects.
She enjoys reading and running, especially with Dr. Herron. She cheers for Packers football with Dr Peterson, U of A gymnastics with her daughter and Yankees baseball with her son.
Dr. Montgomery and her husband Rob have a son, Nicholas, and a daughter, Kelly.
Dr. Peterson was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Wisconsin Medical School.
In 1989, Dr. Peterson came to Tucson for her three-year pediatric residency training at the University of Arizona. She then worked for three years with the Section of Hematology/Oncology in the University Medical Center Department of Pediatrics as an assistant clinical lecturer. She has given presentations on anemia, pediatric cancer, and sickle cell anemia. She joined Dr. Williams at Canyon Pediatrics on October 1, 1995.
Dr. Peterson is board certified in pediatrics, a member of the American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Peterson and her husband, Doug (a gastroenterologist), have two daughters, Erin and Meghan, and one son William. Their family enjoys sports and travel.
Dr. Radomsky was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming, and Creighton University School of Medicine.
In 1993 he came to Tucson to complete his three-year pediatric residency program at the University of Arizona. After residency he worked at a large multi-specialty clinic for two years, and then worked for University Medical Center the following year. He joined Tanque Verde Pediatrics in July, 1999.
Dr. Radomsky is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona. While enjoying all aspects of being a general pediatrician, he has special interests in pediatric sports medicine and nutrition.
Dr. Radomsky has been active in the Tucson community. He has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Pima County Pediatric Society in past years. He has been active as a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board of Directers, and is currently serving as the local JDRF Family Team Chair.
Dr. Radomsky has been married to his wife, Carrie, since 1998. They have four wonderful children (Ellie, Logan, Lainie, and Nolan). His interests include golf, running, skiing, and camping.
Dr. Watkins was born in Tucson, Arizona and is a proud graduate of University High School. From there, he went on to earn a degree in Accounting from the Eller College at the University of Arizona. He then attended the U of A College of Medicine in Tucson where he subsequently completed his three-year Pediatric Residency. During residency, he developed a special interest in sports medicine, concussions, and injury prevention.
Dr. Watkins and his wife, Anna, have three children. His interests include playing basketball, watching Patriots football, and, of course, cheering on the Arizona Wildcats in football and basketball.
Our nurses will be your first line for all parent-related questions, so we hired only the best! They are a great resource for your family if you have any illness related questions. They also are very qualified at helping with new breast-feeding moms and well child care issues.
The front office staff at Tanque Verde Pediatrics is the best! They are available to our patients during all office hours to help with appointment scheduling, referrals, medication refills and as your liaisons to the medical staff.
