Dr. Alina Boelman, IBCLC

Dr. Boelman was born and raised in Phoenix and is a graduate of Arizona State University and The University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Stanford University where she had the opportunity to care for medically complex kids as well as receive additional training in pediatric integrative medicine. She has been working as a pediatrician in Tucson since 2018 and joined Tanque Verde Pediatrics in 2021. She has been managing partner for Tanque Verde Peds since 2024 and loves helping the practice grow and provide the best care for Tucson’s children.

Dr. Boelman is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She became an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) in 2022 to better support breastfeeding mothers in her practice. Dr. Boelman’s favorite part of being a pediatrician is getting to know her patients and their families. She loves focusing on preventative medicine during well child visits and encouraging families to make healthy choices together.

Her husband, Jake, was a decathlete at U of A so they both enjoy cheering on the Wildcats and supporting student athletes. They have two young children and two dogs. Her personal interests include exercising, reading, cooking healthy recipes, and exploring new places with her family. Dr. Boelman is also passionate about advocating for the health of children and their parents. She is an active board member of 4th Trimester Arizona, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Arizona families during their transition to parenthood and beyond.
