Dr. Sandra Herron

Dr. Herron was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After completing her undergraduate degree at UW-Milwaukee, she moved to Tucson for her pediatric training at the U of A.

Prior to joining Tanque Verde Pediatrics in 2008, Dr. Herron practiced general pediatrics for 8 years, both in Chicago and Tucson. She has worked as an outpatient pediatrician and as a pediatric hospitalist with the University of Arizona. She is still involved with resident education at the U of A.

Dr. Herron is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as a certified physician with the American Board of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include newborn care, adolescent medicine, hematology, and the impact of racism on the health of children.

Dr. Herron and her husband, Steven, have three daughters, Maya, Sarah, and Tess. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family.
