Tanque Verde Pediatrics Now Offers Mental Health Services

Mental health services are now available at Tanque Verde Pediatrics by our Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Crystal McCown and Lakilia Ahmed. Patients who make use of this service have an option of up to 4-6 sessions with our team. These sessions will be scheduled with Tanque Verde Pediatrics for the amount of time that is appropriate for the services needed.

Our mental health providers will also help find a transitional, more long-term therapist in the community if warranted, while your child is getting acute services here.

Lakilia Ahmed

Lakilia Ahmed is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Buffalo State College and her Masters in Social Work from Howard University.

Crystal McCown

Crystal McCown

Crystal McCown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University, and her graduate degree from the University of Houston.

Join Us for Encanto Summer Camp!

DATES: June 6th-10th
COST: $200 for TVP patients, $250 for non-TVP patients

TVP is excited to present our first Mental Health Workshop in a Summer Camp format! Topics include: mindfulness, calming techniques, boundaries, dealing with stress, pressure and anxiety, perfectionism, and finding our gift to the world. The camp will be led by Crystal McCown, LCSW.

The following surveys and questionnaires may be recommended at your child’s appointment. Once complete, you can portal message them back, or drop them off to clinic, then set up a follow-up appointment to go through them with your child’s primary care pediatrician.
